Dalmore Whisky perfectly matched with 3D print & design project
“At the beginning, I also wanted to use CNC or metal processing/related processes, but after the final evaluation of price and time, I still felt that the 3D printing method was more in line with our costs requirements. 3D printing is much cheaper than other methods of manufacturing, and almost every required detail can be produced.”

Artist Design International – Introduction
Artist Design International is an interior design company, responsible for the commercial space planning of airport duty-free shops and department stores, providing residential interior design regulations for planned service. Recently, Artist Design cooperated with 3DMart’s 3D printing business for a design case for commercial space, by using their LCD 3D technology to complete the design counter of the commercial space. Dalmore Whisky, the brand of the design case, is a well-known brand and is recognized by its eye-catching deer head logo.
Why Use 3D Printing technology
In the past decorations for precious space design projects have been made mostly by artificial oil soil, after being kneaded into a model and then finished by using the mold-turning method.
As customers are now requiring a more precise product of decorative display objects, we considered bringing the use of 3D printing technology into our work. Customers now provide us with the complete 3D model file and we print it.

Production Process
Using the Liquid Crystal HR 3D printer, the deer logo was successfully 3D printed for the commercial space decoration. After printing, the deer model was sent off for electroplating.
Slight deformation can be caused by post-processing (electroplating), this can be prevented. After the print has completed, be sure to wait for the resin to cure before proceeding with the repair work.
Using tools to remove the supports, 3DMart’s mission came to an end. The finished 3D deer head logo was sent to the professional electroplating factory for surface finishing treatment, transforming it into a shiny looking metal finished piece.
Future Development
The 3DMart were very honoured to have had the opportunity to participate in the design case for Dalmore and were extremely happy with the finished result. Artist Design mainly provides the design for commercial space planning at present but are looking to develop their service into interior design for residencies, so that customers can also enjoy exquisite living experience space as well as commercial space.

The 3D Printer Used
The Liquid Crystal HR is a high-resolution medium format printer ideal for most general 3D printing applications. It uses our patent pending Daylight Polymer Printing Technology. Integral to the printer is the unmodified high-resolution LCD panel used to create parts. It has a 196mm x 147mm x 250mm build volume, The 9.7” display offers a 2K resolution with an XY pixel size of 97 microns, giving accuracy and fine detail.
Ideal for designers, engineers, dentists, jewellers and industrial prototypes. It can produce medium-sized objects at a fraction of the cost of other 3D printers.
